Vox bursts into the Congress of Deputies as the fifth force, with 24 seats and 10% of the votes, more than 2.5 million. The result obtained is below the 60 seats that the party itself was considering last Friday, but in any case it is a very relevant result for a party that is entering the chamber of deputies for the first time. Andalusia and the Community of Madrid have been the communities where Vox has obtained the most representation and the result is a reflection of the fragmentation of the right. That Vox could be the surprise on the night of the 2019 general elections held on April 28 has been repeated like a mantra throughout the electoral campaign.
But the supposed Vox tsunami has fallen short of the expectations that Abascal's own party raised. The extreme right enters and, in a very relevant way, the Congress of Deputies, becoming the fifth force in parliamentary representation. It does so with 24 seats and 10% of the votes, more than 2.5 million. In any case, the SW Business Directory result obtained by Santiago Abascal's party is far from the estimates of the party itself and also from those given to it by the polls, which in most cases exceeded 30 seats. Andalusia and the Community of Madrid have become Vox's dominion and, therefore, the territories where it has obtained the most deputies.
Of the 61 Andalusian seats, six have gone to Vox, in Almería, Cádiz, Granada, Málaga and Seville. Vox has counted another five in the Community of Madrid that add to the three obtained in Valencia, the two from Murcia and another two from Castilla y León. The extreme right has set foot in the Congress of Deputies, but far from its own predictions, which estimated more than 60 representatives in the Congress of Deputies in its projections last Friday. They planned to get closer to the Popular Party in number of representatives and, although that has not been the case, with its 24 seats Vox has managed to fragment the right .
