The Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Poland (MNISW) has approved a list of scientific journals, assigning each of them certain points. These points play an important role in assessing scientific publications and career growth of scientists. Scoring system for evaluating journals from the Ministerial List of Rating Publications
The Ministry's Ranking List (Polish list) is a list of scientific journals indicating the number of points that can be obtained for publishing a scientific article in a specific publication. The recommended list of scientific journals has been regularly published since 2004 by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education. This list is also used to evaluate educational institutions and researchers.
Rules for the evaluation of scientific journals and peer-reviewed materials of international conferences, starting from 2022
The points are calculated in accordance with section §11.3 of the Regulation of the Minister of Science and Higher Education of Poland of 22 February 2019 on the assessment of the quality of scientific activity (the text of the regulatory document can be found at the link ).
The number of points for scientific achievements is determined on the basis of the current list of journals and publishers published by the Minister of Science and Higher Education in the calendar year in which the corresponding scientific publication was released in its final version. If the corresponding list was not prepared and provided in the year of the scientific publication, points are awarded in accordance with the latest list published in previous years.
Important! Articles published in 2024 will be assessed according to the latest list of journals, which will be provided in 2024.

How are points assigned?
The Polish Ministerial List of Ranking Journals uses point criteria to evaluate on page seo service scientific publications. Journals can receive 20, 40, 70, 100, 140 or 200 points. These values form five thresholds that allow publications to both increase and decrease several positions at once. For example, a journal can be increased from 20 to 200 points or, conversely, decrease several notches. Points are awarded based on the assessment of the Polish Ministry of Science and Higher Education and depend on the reputation of the journals and the quality of peer-reviewed materials of international conferences.
